ALTERTOX MARKETPLACE

CASE STUDY

Goal

Create connections between all actors following Non Animal Testing methods, in the wide world of global research.

Design Process

For this specific project, I have reached the team at the final steps of development. The web site was already great looking and missed a design Touch-up to consolidate the USER-JOURNEY, improve the SEARCH interface, redesign THE COMPANY PROFILE PAGE, and ultimately set the flow for the USER ONBOARDING. Yet, the research and analysis were still an important part of this project, as my role was to make sure the service is well designed for the right audience. Several user testings were done to check each iteration and feel confident for the launch.

Overview

THE PROBLEM: Every new product concerning health needs to be tested before release. To avoid animal testing, those researches can today be supported by alternative methods conducted by specific laboratories, but how to find them easily?

THE MISSION: Altertox MARKETPLACE’s mission is to make Non Animal Testing more open and connect suppliers.

THE PRINCIPLE: Based on the type of product to be tested, using plain search, categories and smart filtering, it gets easy to find the right companies and their contact person on a global scale.

Insights

At this point, the platform is growing organically and more companies are registering.

As for what I learned on this project:

  • It’s important to go beyond first assumptions to understand our user.

  • Accessibility shouldn’t be seen as a constraint, but as a way of improving design.

  • The world of Science is FUN
